Never Judge the Book by its Cover

Today was a bz day in school. I hate Thursday actually which is packed with classes to attend. I hardly have time to rest and even eat. In the afternoon, I received an sms from him telling me the place to hv dinner. I was not really in the mood but my colleague asked me to go asI hv promised him and it's juz a get to know each other better day. So I've made a step and smsed him that I m going to see him at nite for dinner.

At the eleventh hour, he smsed me to make it half an hour late as he'd got something on. So,I went window shopping till he smsed me that he hd arrived. Then, I went in and to my surprise, I met my colleagues!! What did I do?? I said HI then I went in to find him. They did see me and they din ask me about him. But I don know ll they tomorrow.

Anyway, it wasn't a bad dinner. I enjoyed myself more than the first time. Maybe there were too many guys there talking about work and their activities. So, it really bored me but I pretended to be ok. The first impression was not too good though.

One lesson I've learnt ... never judge the book by its cover. If he happens to ask me out again, I shall give him and myself a chance too. It's juz a friendship ...

Sigh

These few days I was bz with my work. No time for me to blog. I was a bit excited cz CNY is around the corner. On Saturday, I ll be back hometown. But today I din and don feel that happy. I don know why. I juz can't figure out wht makes me like this. Ll something bad happens to me?? *Sigh*

Today my housemate went to TM to pay the telephone bill. What a shock when we looked at the bill. My housemate and I had been attached to a promo called 'good 2 talk', where we hv to pay for higher rental but foc for all unlimited out station calls. But today when we got the bill we had a big shock!! We are now no more attached to this promo. We were told tht letter hd been sent to us telling us tht this promotion will end last Dec but the truth we din get any letter!! So, wht we did was we made a complaint but I m sure they'll not take any further step. I think we are gonna to pay for this. *Sigh*

Anyway, I hope this moody mood ll go away tomorrow.
Ha.. talking about tomorrow. Few weeks ago, I met with a guy, who is actually my colleague's hubby's buddy. They planned to make up a blind date for me and that guy. Actually, I was not really interested in going for this but my colleague insisted me to make more new friends. I understand my colleague's good intention and it was my fault too. My colleaugue came to me letting me know her plan as she didn't know that at tht time I was seeing someone. I rejected at first but she kept on asking me to go for it. Then wht made me agree? Actually, before my colleague told me her plan, I'd decided to end my relationship with tht someone as I found that he's not my type. So, alas I agreed.

I did go for tht date but my mind was not really there on the first day we met. I thought he wouldn't have the interest in me too as I can see that we are from the different world. To my surprise, he smsed and called me!! He did ask me out but I turned him off. This week, he asked me out again and this time I've thought to myself that it wdn't be nice to turn him off again so I promised him to go out with him.

And it ll be tomorrow. We hven't decide the venue to go. And I m not in the mood to go too!! What happen to me?? Maybe my blue mood is caused by all these... These really make me think too much. Maybe I shouldn't think too much and juz make up mind and go for it.

Teachers and Parents

Who are parents?? What are their responsibilities to their children??
What I can see from the pupils of my school, some parents are very caring to their children. They send them to school and pick them up after their lessons. Some even bring lunch for their children juz to make sure they are filled with nutritious food compared to the food sold in the canteen.

But not all parents are like that!! Some not even care about their children. First it’s because they are too busy with their work and some hv financial problems. I feel sorry to the unfortunate children when it comes to the time to collect their school fees.

These unfortunate children sometimes get humiliation from other fortunate children. It’s bcz they don’t wear new uniform, they don’t eat during recess and they don’t own nice things like the rich. Humiliation sometimes causes the unwanted matters happen.

Some pupils may start avoiding attending classes in school; some even try to commit suicide!!
Oh!! What does this mean?? I’ve heard a pupil who was humiliated by someone in school tried to jump down from the upper level of the building. This is not a joke!! It really happened before!!

Children in this century are not the same like the previous centuries. They carry heavier bags to school, they learn more subjects in school and they have more activities and competitions for them to compete. So, they are really having stressful lives as they are put in high hopes by the parents and the school teachers.

There was once when I was going up the staircase of my school. I was annoyed by a child who was pulling his trolley bag up the staircase. Can’t the child carries the bag for awhile? Of course I know they can pull the bags but not when going up the stairs!! So I went near him and tried to help him. To my surprise!!!!!! I couldn’t even lift up the bag!!! I‘d to put more energy in order to carry the bag for him.

Since that day onwards, I always tell my children what books to bring during my everyday lessons. Not to say I didn’t plan my lessons but usually I din tell my kids what particular books to bring from the amount of books they have.

So teachers out there, we as the educators, love the children more and educate them. We are the second parents to them ….

Responsibility

What is job for u?? Is job important to us?? It wd be YES to me. A job makes my life goes on. A job makes me upgraded. But y some of them out there find a job and have fun during working time?? Some of them are very efficient in 'pushing' or avoiding work from coming to them. How do they do that?? How do they talk to their boss or divide all the work to others??

Somehow, this matter comes to my mind. I was thinking of trying to be like them. It's juz an experiment ok... I juz wanna know how they feel and make up reasons to avoid receiving new work or project. But I failed!! I couldn't make it. I was tongue tied. I couldn't think of even a reason. Am I stupid?? I'll only accept and try my best to do all the work given to me cz I know I am responsible for it.

Sometimes, I am not statified with the work given as it is not fair I can see. There are time I work like hell with some of the good ones but the others juz sitting there and chatting and gossiping about others. Hey... remember... offices are not places for us to gossip and chat non stop. Of course, free chatting is a need sometimes in our life but non stop chatting is not advisable!!

Some even worse... ignoring the supervisors' or the boss' warning!! Funny eh?? Don't they worry getting set by the senior assistances?? No, they don't actually. Why yah?? Let me tell you, those are ppl with 'status'... How can this happen in this environment?? We should respect and follow the instructions no matter how 'high' our status is. If really to look at status then the higher status should be the boss. The boss is always our boss and it doesn't relate to the personal status.

I was mad at times but now I am used to it. But after listening and been advised by my colleague, WL, I m happy with my work now. She told me not to judge or mad at those 'unimportant' ppl in the office. She advised me to do my part and help others according to my ability. Then I ll be happier. I practised it and still practising it. And it's true, I become happier and I work with statisfactory as I learn a lot from my work...

SICK

It was a dull and sick day for me. I was sick from yesterday evening till juz now...err...evening. I got headache and back pain again. It was so awful and I was not in the good mood bcz of the pain. It made me not having good sleep at all!! Anyway, I got to sleep quite soundly this evening.

Then awake when mom gave me a ring on the phone. Noticed it was about dinner time.
As it is adviceble for me to have more rest, so I decided not to go anywhere. I was at home the whole nite and till now I m still at home. Anyway, it is already 11.45p.m., can't go anywhere though cz tomorrow I need to go to work.

I m not sleepy yet!! So, what am I going to do? Maybe bcz of too much sleep in the evening. I promised Min to go to boutiques somewhere in her place with her to buy new clothes for CNY. I'll get few for me too.
