Not A Bad Day!!

Today is the ninth day of CNY. This is a big and important day for all the Hokkiens. I was quite excited at first before CNY as I thought I was able to celebrate it with my family but I was wrong coz I'd to come back early to attend my classes and 2 tests on Sunday. Was very angry and disappointed actually. Anyway, yesterday nite was not a bad day although I didn't have the chance to celebrate with my family.

My classes went smoothly as well as my 2 tests. Then at nite my friends had invited me to their house due to the celebration...actually we didn't really celebrate it. We just had a free chat. It's a trend or how would I say ... it's a must and polite to visit relatives, friends and the seniors during CNY. Ha!! At least there was not time for me to think nonsense!! He He He...

At 12 am, KK escorted me back. Wanna thank him for escorting. Then, I called my mom to wish her and my other family members Happy Chinese New Year with the mixture of happy and sad. Later, I chatted with my friend for awhile. I was amazed with the fireworks played outside. I got the chance to view through my windows. How can I explained.... it was amazing and the sky looked like a gift
paper. It was so nice.

Hmm... am I from the stoneage?? Haven't I experience seeing this?? :o)
Well, the fireworks on the ninth day of CNY is totally different from other special day like New Year etc. The residents here play it non-stop on every 9th day of CNY. They'll start at around 10 pm and end at 2 am. Besides, there'll be lot of 'KONG MING' lanterns fly up to the sky. The Hokkiens will write their wishes on the lanterns, light them and release them to the sky hoping the lanterns will fly as high as they could so their wishes will be fullfilled.

After 10 days off for the festival, tomorrow I have to be back to work. Anyway, my CNY mood is still hot... ;o) This coming Wednesday, I'll be having a CNY dinner with all my colleagues( hope all of them will come).
